Talus Building Solutions was formed in 2001, we provide construction estimating services to builders and industry professionals throughout Australia.
We specialise in residential construction, from the standard project home to the full architectural multi-million dollar multi-level home.

Our Team
Director of Talus Building Solutions
Formally educated in Engineering and Construction Management, Tony has worked in many areas of the construction industry, including as a Construction Manager and then General Manager of a construction company building around 400 houses per year with a turnover of $100 million building in a multi-entity, multi-centre operation throughout Queensland.
He has extensive experience with setting up estimating and other integrated management systems, including working with the Databuild team, Franchises, and various high-volume builders.
Tony understands the pitfalls of “Do it yourself” estimating and the difficulties faced by builders in integrating their sales, construction and estimating process with the financial function of a building company.
Outside of the business, Tony has a passion for travel, adventure racing and having a good laugh with family and friends.
Senior Estimator
Peter joined the team in 2009. Peter has a Bachelor of Construction (1st class hons). Peter has extensive knowledge of construction techniques and practices throughout Australia and enjoys developing relationships with builders and their teams. Peter has a brilliant eye for detail and prides himself on his precision and accuracy.
Peter started in sales and project management before beginning his career in estimating. He has since forged a reputation amongst our clients as second to none in the field.
Peter has vast experience in estimating software and the Microsoft Office suite of programs, especially Excel. This allows him to develop user-friendly and efficient systems to improve our accuracy and turnaround time to benefit our clients. In his other life among many things, Pete masquerades as a beer connoisseur, as a brewer he regularly enters, with great success, local, state and national brewing competitions.
Estimator
Prior to joining the team in 2019, Allysha worked in various roles in the construction industry that has enabled her to bring a unique skillset to her role here.
Allysha does work on high end residential but currently specialises in closely working with our more project style clients, developing systems, and providing a high-level estimating service to ensure our clients are running as efficiently, smoothly, and as profitably as possible.
Her attention to detail, ability to problem solve and dedication make Allysha a hugely valued part of our team here.
When away from the office, Allysha enjoys mixing and socialising with friends going to concerts and football matches.
Estimator
Sam joined the team at the start of 2021 as a junior estimator.
Sam is currently studying a degree in Construction from SQU and over the past couple of years Sam’s skills have developed in all areas of estimating and especially in maintenance of system software.
Sam continues to work very closely with our North Queensland clients and is also branching out, getting involved in projects in other areas of Australia.
Sam’s interests include playing sport and spending time with family.
Human Resources and Accounts
Deb handles our HR and administration; she has been working within the company for many years with various roles and currently looks all our accounting and administration requirements.
Always happy and smiling, Deb’s interests include a love of travel, getting together with family & friends, keeping fit and learning to play the banjo.
